It's easy to follow and perfect for beginners (my aunt sent me this book when I began studying tarot, and I still refer to and recommend it often). Old Tarot books—written in occultese, which to young people often seems incredibly dense and boring. Someone that already has a basic knowledge of the card's meaning or has more experience would not have a problem with them however. I would not recommend this deck for someone who is a brand new beginner and just learning the tarot. With so many options available, what is the best deck to learn with? If you're a beginner, I recommend the original Waite deck or a close variation on it, as once you learn those cards, it makes learning other decks easier. It helps aspiring readers learn to interpret cards intuitively rather than memorizing standard card meanings. I picked up How to Read the Tarot by Sylvia Abraham second hand and still find it useful to this day.
